Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu Ninpo Taijutsu is a 900 year old Japanese martial art unlike any other. Ninpo Taijutsu training has a goal of freeing the practitioner from all limitations, whether imposed by the self or by external circumstances. Ninpo Taijutsu allows an individual to act and react in a spontaneous manner while remaining calm, and in control of their emotions. This idea of "formless" spontaneity is something that dwells within all of us, so it is nothing to be gained as such, but rather rediscovered. The art is primarily based upon balance, timing, distance, and the use of your entire body in every motion. Students practice methods of hitting the ground and rebounding safely, shifting and evading strikes and weapon hits, and learning how to allow their bodies to be exactly where they need them to be at each and every moment.
The kanji for the word "magokoro", in it's basest form, means "sincerity." The primary focus of this dojo is to study the Bujinkan arts as they were passed from one master to another, from Takamatsu Sensei to Hatsumi Soke and onward, in a sincere manner with a focus on correct movement and understanding. |
