The history of Ninjutsu is extremely nebulous and ambigous, and it has been argued over time and time again by historians from many different countries. This page will not attempt to pass on any particular interpretation of ninja history. Instead, it will simply present some resources that people can use to begin their study of the history of the Bujinkan arts, and ninjutsu history in general. This is meant to be presented in a way to allow you to make your own conclusions, and not to 'tell' you the 'true history.' As time permits, this page will be updated with book references to assist those interested in the historical aspects of our art. Please check back for periodic updates... Probably most relevant would be the life of Hatsumi Sensei's most influential teacher, Takamatsu Toshitsugu. As time goes on more information will be added about the life of this amazing man.
